Day Treatment
The Day Treatment Program provides a therapeutic milieu that enables adolescents to deal with a variety of problems and helps them to return to the school system or enter the work force. The daily programming includes 3 academic periods and one treatment period, and groups on Adolescent Life Skills. The treatment period allows the youth to explore personal areas of strength and focus on skill development in the areas of: anger management, communication skills, relationship building, self esteem, responsibility, stress management, substance use, problem solving and self awareness. Youth take an active part in planning their own program and future goals.

The programs are operated in cooperation with the Toronto District School Board and are open to youth from both the public and separate school streams.

All external referrals are made through the EMYS Access Team. Youth considered for Day Treatment are between the ages of 12 to 18 who, for whatever reason, are not able to maintain themselves successfully in a community school.
